White sugar, also called granulated or table sugar, is made from refined sugar cane or sugar beets. After undergoing a refining process to remove impurities, raw sugar turns into bright white, crystalline granules. Sugar for consumption is often known as White Crystal Sugar (GKP) and refined crystal sugar (GKR). Refined sugar has a smoother, cleaner texture than white crystal sugar.
Whether for food manufacturing or retail distribution, we are committed to sourcing and delivering premium-quality sugar granules and sugar cubes in line with our client’s demands.
Brown sugar is a sucrose sugar product that has a distinctive brown colour. The main difference between table sugar and brown sugar is the presence of molasses, which gives brown sugar its distinct colour, flavour and moisture. Another variant Demerara sugar is a type of sugar that is minimally processed, so it still contains traces of molasses and micronutrients. Both brown sugar and Demerara sugar are both popular alternatives to white granulated sugar, offering distinct flavours and textures. It is interesting to know that Demerara sugar is named after the Demerara region of Guyana in South America, where it was originally produced.
Whether you prefer the rich caramel flavour of brown sugar or the crunchy texture of Demerara sugar, we supply the finest varieties to retailers and food manufacturers in the region.
Sugar is produced from sugar cane or sugar beets grown in tropical climates. Sugar is made using a multi-step process of milling and refining. Sugarcane and beets are cut and harvested to be sent to a factory. At the factory, cane juice is extracted and filtered into golden raw sugar. This raw sugar is then taking to a refinery to be purified and crystalized into table sugar.
Brown sugar is made by adding molasses from sugar cane back into refined white sugar for colouring and flavour. It can also be made by coating white granulated sugar with molasses. Essentially, brown and white sugar are the same product only differing by colour and flavour.
We source white (crystalized and refined ) sugar supplies from the Czech Republic, EU, France, Germany and India. We import brown sugar from Colombia, Guatemala and Mauritius.
